All for Christ

Jesus has unfolded His missionary manifesto to His Twelve and in bold print it reads: rejection. The victory, strength, and wisdom of God’s plan is wrapped up in what appears to be defeat, weakness, and foolishness. Now, Jesus speaks incentive into their hearts. What could possibly motivate them? What could dispel their fears rightly? Surprisingly we discover that this is about more than a mission—a radical reordering of one’s value system is the key that unlocks true discipleship. In astounding though subtle details, this passage teaches us to recalibrate all for Christ. Life and death, meaning and mission—all is reevaluated, all for Christ.
