Meek Majesty for the Joy of Many

Christ and Kingdom

The sermon seeks to highlight the centrality of Christ, His worth, meekness, and majesty through the events recorded in Matthew 2:1-12. Two theological themes dominate: (a) the sovereignty of God in orchestrating the advent of Christ and (b) the worship of Christ—His worth calling forth the glad praise of the nations. The various responses to Christ form the outline and underscore the importance of understanding His true identity and responding to Him from faith-borne, heart-filled adoration. Let us plea for the grace of God to enlarge our hearts to behold the meek majesty of Christ and respond to Him with yielded lives of worship in gladness.
