Motives of Prayer

Prayerlessness is a problem. But guilt is not the cure. Motivation is the key. A right aim and ambition unlock the devotional delight of prayer. We need not just to pray, but a deep sense of desire to pray and to pray aright. The nature of prayer is linked to the nature of God. Our practice of prayer is linked to our relationship with God. So this sermon focuses on the sweetest essence and motivation of prayer, namely the communion of our hearts with our heavenly Father.
