The Glorious New Way

The gospel is the newly revealed power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16-17). Though redemption has always been by grace alone, the just and glorious means of it have only now been revealed in Christ and Him crucified (Romans 3:21-26). Faith in this Christ is the only way that a sinner can be right with God. Obedience to the Law of God does not justify. But does it sanctify? Now, Paul shows that though we are slaves to God and His righteousness in Christ we are not slaves to the Law. For in Christ, we are not under the Mosaic Law. Christ has revolutionized both history and hearts, changing eras and egos. The glorious means of justification is revealed in Christ. And in Christ there is also revealed the glorious new way of life and love, of service and sanctification, of faith and fruit to God.
