Stewards of Grace to the World

Increasingly, the church appears irrelevant to the western world. Deprecated. Outdated. A vestige of vintage times. Yet, in all time and creation, there is only one institution that has been charged with the high responsibility of knowing and making known the person and work of Jesus Christ. That one institution is His church. For this reason, the church stands above every other institution under heaven for the promotion of God’s glory and the joy of humanity for both now and forever. The church has been appointed a special, sacred, and serious stewardship. This is the first in a three-sermon series focusing on the local church as stewards of grace. In this message, the church is called to remember her Beloved and her identity in Him. Her stewardship begins here. From here she is called to understand her relationship to the world and steward the grace of God as a royal priesthood to the world.
