Christ Seated

Glory of the Risen Christ

The crown of Christ’s exaltation is most clearly seen when He is seated in glory at the right hand of His Father. This formal sitting or state of being seated portrays a vivid scene of Christ’s climactic vindication. Christ’s enthronement is not merely a reinstatement of what has always been His by right of His deity. More particularly, it celebrates the joy and reward of the God-man’s accomplished work of redemption. Here, we seek to gaze upon and enter into the ceremony of Christ’s supremacy—the apex of the glory of the risen Christ. Indeed, Christ seated is key to our worldview and devotion. Christ seated is key to God’s glory and man’s joy.
