In this session, we direct our attention to a survey of the Old Testament starting at its foundation. The Old Testament features three major categories of God-breathed writings: (1) Law torah, (2) Prophets nevi’im, and (3) Writings (ketuvim). Torah is often translated as Law in English, but the original idea behind the word Torah is much richer. Here, we explore the glory of the creating and redeeming God, who creates and redeems according to His word. His promises will prove true, whether by providence or miraculous power. And all the promises of God find their fulfillment in Christ.
