The Book of Isaiah has been called the Mount Everest of the Hebrew Scriptures. It is truly a remarkable masterpiece, penned by the prince of the prophets. Its central theme is God Himself. The effulgent holiness of the One who is high and lifted up is presented in focal points relating to sin, sovereignty, and salvation. The purpose of the book is to reveal the grace and glory of the only holy God, calling the rebellious to account and the repentant to comfort through trust that saves the sinner to draw near to the Holy One.
