Sojourning Submission
This is not our world. Behind the trials that we now face is the raging of a spiritual war. How we step as a church is a spiritual matter. These are not the things of preference, convenience, or expedience. The battle is won on the ground of principle. Faith and obedience are not ours to define. Christ is our King and His kingdom our home. We walk accordingly, led by our Suffering Sovereign as our supreme example. This is the first in a series of sermons that look to The First Epistle of Peter for guiding principles on how we are to live a sojourning life with Christ at the center. It is a timely and uniquely relevant message. As we are facing returning lockdowns that forbid the church from gathering, we desperately need to be recalibrated and renewed. We need to hear from God on how we should step in submission, suffering, and strength to make much of Christ.
