Let Us Adore Him
We were created to adore Christ. Adoration is native to the image of God. It is the ultimate business of the human being, both affecting and expressing the heart. It is concerned with glory and comprehended with joy. This is a devotional message with a particular focus on the necessity and nurture of adoring Christ. It seeks to steward Christmas by directing our hearts to Christ Himself. Christ came to be above all and first in the hearts of men. Our adoration should center on Him, not merely His works. Our adoration is not payment for services rendered. He is to be without rival and loved reverently and relationally. He is our greatest good. Here, profound doxology leads powerful praxeology—high doctrine inspires helpful discipline. It is a tonic to stimulate and enlarge the heart of every true Christian, occasioned at Christmas but essential for every day.
