Thriving In Babylon
We live under the constant pressure to fit in and conform to the culture around us, complete with its ways and worship. As Christians, we are in but not of this world. We are to make much of Christ in the world with supernatural confidence of uncompromising faith. We are called not only to survive spiritually but thrive in the midst of a world that bows to idols. We live in a type of Babylon, yet we live in Christ, and in Him we can thrive by making much of Christ even in the hardest of situations. This sermon looks to the Book of Daniel to glean some insight into this challenge.
