Gathered to Glorify God
When the local church gathers, she gathers to glorify God. This is a massive privilege and responsibility. It shapes and forms why we gather, when we gather, and what we do in our gatherings. The church gathers to make manifest the worth of Christ. She does this primarily in and through words—His and hers. Words of worship that celebrate truth. As such, she is called the “pillar and buttress of the truth.” It is highly important that we understand with clarity that the church was ordained by God for His redeemed people to regularly gather together in local geographies to promote Christ for God’s glory and man’s joy.
