CloseTo a rejecting generation Jesus speaks in parables, while the secrets of the kingdom are revealed to those who have left all to follow Him. His parables contain the hidden truths of the long-awaited kingdom of God. All were anticipating the kingdom to come all at once. But contrary to popular expectation, Jesus likens it to a slow growing harvest. The King has come as a farmer rather than a warrior to start the planting of His kingdom. But Satan has sought to sabotage Christ’s crop. Since the harvest is not until the end of the age, true citizens of the kingdom must understand that there will be many imposters. An unsorted mixture will coexist until the harvest. Sham religion will be prevalent in this age but judged in the end.
