Good News of Great Joy
The truest attraction of Christmas is an unseen goodness greater than the sum of all its fruits. Nothing less than “great joy” can describe its meaning. From where does this great joy come? It beams from the shining goodness of the news that Christmas proclaims. It is all about Christ, the greatest gift the world could ever receive. Here the first public proclamation of the gospel was preached. Here joy, of an indescribable kind, is proclaimed to the glory of God. Here, in deepest humility, gentleness, and love, Christ is good news of great joy.
